Restorative Yoga & Slow Flow

I offer restorative yoga and slow flow vinyasa yoga practices to help people reconnect to themselves—that beautiful, calm, balanced, bright, joyful self that lies within, often buried beneath layers of life and stress. In my class, we work to gently melt these layers and shine up that gold within. 

​

My yoga style is inclusive, meditative and deeply self-compassionate. Together, we'll get quieter and listen to what our bodies, minds and spirits have to say, what they need right now, and how we can become better partners to and with them.​

​

Striving to make these practices accessible to those who need them, regardless of where they are in the world and how much time they have available, I offer weekly in-person yoga classes and live virtual yoga classes, yoga workshops of various kinds, yoga retreats, a growing library of on-demand yoga practices, and 1-on-1 private yoga, as well as corporate wellness yoga sessions.

Restorative Yoga

My favorite of all the practices I do and share, restorative yoga is a resting yoga...a meditation from the body up. We move through a series of long-held poses on the floor supported by comfy props, not to stretch, but to release tension of mind and body, reconnect to breath and self and inner calm. To reset our overbusy nervous systems and DO LESS.

This practice has been profoundly transformative for me, helping me find a calm, steady foundation I can continue to root in, no matter how chaotic life may be. 

Slow Flow Yoga

Slow flow is a slower, gentler version of vinyasa flow yoga class, a linking of breath and meditative movement. 

​

We warm up body and spine generously, build a bit of heat, and finish with grounding stretches and savasana. We build self-awareness, self-compassion, flexibility and strength.

​

I used to think yoga was about forcing yourself into some perfect pose...and now I know it's about meeting your body where it is, celebrating and honoring that. I teach my flows from this place.

Based in the greater Washington, DC area in Northern Virginia, I offer meditation, mindfulness, restorative yoga, dance, Reiki and other stress-reduction and self-care programs locally, regionally and virtually. In addition to group classes, I also offer private 1:1, small-group and corporate wellness sessions.
